Pongmei Valley 55 Necro Solo
Ok. So you want to farm GW: Factions. I did too. I farmed Pongmei Valley. Here is the build.
N/Mo 55 Necro
5 Blood Magic(2+3)
5 Soul Reaping(2+3)
16 Curses(12+3+1)
9 Healing Prayers
9 Protection Prayers
1. Protective Spirit
2. Healing Breeze
3. Reckless Haste
4. Spiteful Spirit
5. Vigourous Spirit
6. Essence Bond
7. Balthazar's Spirit
8. Mending
To farm Pongmei Valley, you must first go to Maatu Keep. Once you run outside into the valley, run to the left and let the Jade Brotherhood people kill you. Once you rez up, equip a -20 HP offhand(you can get one in pre-sear). Once you have it equiped, run to the right from resurrection shrine and aggro the Stone Scale Kirin and Undergrowth. Once you have them aggroed run south and aggro everything that you see. When you're surrounded by about 10-20 Undergrowths and Stone Scale Kirin, cast PS+HB+VS, then cast Reckless Haste and SS on the Undergrowths. Once they all die, you can either port back to Maatu Keep or go to Boreas Seabed and port out there. If you go to Pongmei Valley through Boreas Seabed, as soon as you head out take a left. Past the Rot Wallows that are there, there are Yetis. Aggro all of them, and kill them one by one. Ritualist Yetis and Ranger Yetis with pets first.
Well have fun farming! I'll try to get a map of them run up soon. If you would like, critique the spot and my build.

I take it this is the guide you don't want deleted right?
Anyways ya i've farmed the area. Like the 2nd day in. Just a few questions. Why kill yourself? Everything out there is easily Killed and most of the groups wont pull that far. Your not really killing everything faster because you ahve lower life and may be able to gather up some extra enemies to kill. Remember you have to die first, wait on the res shrine, get enchants up etc. You could possibly already mow thru 2 groups of enemies by the time you go thru all this. Remeber just because the kirin summoned a vampiric horror b4 it dies doesnt mean you have to kill it, they dont drop anything. Once the item droppers are dead just head to the next group.
Why arent you killing the asn boss and the yeti boss for the greens? IMO thats the only thing your going to make a steady profit from out there. You can easily kill just about anything out there minus the rot wallows, afflicted with the 2-4% moral boost you gain.
Insidious parasite is your friend, use it throw away vig spirit. The only reaons I ever use that skill is for a cover enchant when dealing with enchant removal. A fire and forget about it heal is multiple times better then something you actually have to expend energy or wand targets to generate a little tiny heal of +9 at 9 healing prayers. Not to mention 37+21=58 damage per hit

The Stone Scale Kirin cast Barbs on you, so they do 10 damage per hit instead of 5. How do you actually kill the warrior boss all the way? I can't get past his Heal Sig.

I just told you how I kill the warrior boss
Single him out let the other 2 yetis with him feed you energy. Power thru heal sig, let battle rage do all the work.
Yes the kirin use barbs which does 2x damage "IF" they hit you. That has to be a hint to use some sort of spammable block does it not. And like I said insidious parasite is your friend, +21 health per hit is a good thing and more of a heal then the measly +9 from vig spirit. I personally don't waste my time with these guys since I find they barely drop anyting decent.
I'd make videos but my necro is parked in the deep and I don't plan on moving her anytime soon since i've already explored almost 80% of cantha and beat the game with her.
It's so easy I shouldnt have to make videos of it.
W/e I just go on the 2 boss killing spree this is what i take.
PS
HB
DE
SS
IP
EB
BS
Mending
Assasin boss will die in 1 -2 rounds of SS with one use of IP at start of the fight. 1 round if he dual hits alot. 2 rounds if not. Don't even bother with the jades run right to the boss kill him then head for the yeti. Kill guards posted outside, cross bridge kill next set of guards, then go after boss. Run is fast.
Already snagged several of their greens. Better get busy before everyone else gets to them and overfarms them.

To spike thru heal sig, shadow refuge. You can take reckless haste. Factor in the extremely shortened hex duration on bosses and you'll understand why I dont use it compared to it's recharge time.
When using Insidous parasite you want to get hit, thus another reaon why I dont take it for the run.

went there with my 55 pure monk the normal skills i just skip the warrior skills (never had the need for em), just bring SoW if you feel that you need to loose some aggro, and spam HB & PS like crazy, seems like they don't move away much, done this since the release, haven't done it for a week now, but i guess it still works!

Hi everybody, I was trying to solo the assassin boss last nite but got killed by the necromancer near the boss. I was using 55 Necro/Monk. I think I was killed by one shot so maybe it is bane signet or something.
I tried to pull the boss out by there are several healer hidden around him so couldn't success either.
Is there any other way?

Necro monsters are a no-no on a 55hp character. They use vamp skills that go right through prot spirit.
When I go after the assassin boss I just kill all the jades in the vicinity before I get to the boss. That way they don't come running when you attack the boss. Then go and hit the boss with a longbow to pull him to you. This will leave behind the Am Fah necros.

thanks for the reply, I've noticed that the am fah ones are actually fighting with the other party near the boss.
So, I'll need to kill all jade guys first? Those knights are easy but I've noticed there are some mesmer there also. So, its quite hard to clear them all. (maybe becoz I'm a newbie in using Necro/Monk to farm)
I try to lure the boss out but it follows me for only a short period of time and then he ran back to his gang eventually.

Both the bosses are do-able, just not as easy as Kcp made it sound. For yetis, you can actually skip the group before the bridge if you wait a little for the patrol to move away. The yeti boss can be done as long as you keep IP and SS on him all the time, don't wait for either to wear off.
As for the sin boss... hmmm, that one I'm not too sure. afaik, the boss is always in a group with other am fahs, including a necromancer. How you managed to kill jade rits and jade mesmers as well as getting the sin boss to consistenly chase you without any other am fah tagging along is quite beyond me I suppose...

I have no idea about killing the jade ritualists and mesmers, but i have been luring him away alone really many times with a longbow, as he said

This thread was started before "X" was given assasins promise elite and was all alone w/o any pop-downs of jades. It was ridiculously easy.
You can lure the boss away still from behind down the ramp I believe. The daggers are dirt cheap and there's like no demand for them.

yea, i noticed the price of the daggers too, but I'm a collector It's possible to lure him from behind, but not easily. The timing has to be just right, but a single necromancer still usually follow along. Just make sure to unequip that -50 cesta and kill off the necro first.
